Shooting Off Balance

Instructions:

-Player attacks the nearest cone like a defender.
-Player must use left foot in left line and right foot in right line.
-They must shoot within the box (about 18 yards out).
-Switch lines when they are done and continue to work on shooting off balance.

Progression:
-Pass the ball to the coach
-Run around far cone
-Coach will play them a ball to volley

Coaching Points: Shooting Off Balance

-Head over ball / Chest Down
-Part of foot
-Lock ankles
-Follow through

  • 60 Cones
  • Coordination Tools – Hoops, Hurdles, Ladders
  • Tactical Board
  • Poles (Optional), Training Mannequins (Optional)
  • A Ball per Player
  • 3 Colours of bibs
  • A Watch
  • A Pump
  • Air Pressure Gauge
  • A Whistle (windy day).
